Yana quickly cut the rope from Chobby’s leg and lowered Brobby enough to fetch his prize before hauling him up. He was exceedingly grateful and happy to share his egg with us as Goonch applied tample salve to Brobby’s thorn-punctured hand and Chobby slept on. Henmeat offered to prepare the egg, and the six of us enjoyed a pleasant breakfast with tiny toast. Once we finished, Chobby woke up and said thickly, “Morning to you,” then realized he had missed out on the fried snickbuzzard egg. He grew surly and tromped away to pout, while Brobby studiously removed the egg bits from his glorious mustache with his good hand.

When Trindan asked whether the brothers had seen a beautiful thiefess, they said that they had—she had stolen Brobby’s favorite shoes. Trindan gave a wistful sigh, clearly proud of her skill, and our company soon resumed its quest with the addition of the Woostifur brothers.

From Brobby’s Folly (where on a clear day you may catch a glimpse of Dolgrannon Canyon beyond the Stony Mountains), look for the fingerpost pointing southeast that reads Danger This Way and another pointing north that says Danger This Way Too. Follow the first one back into Glipwood Forest. There the footpath will wind you down the long slopes of the forest toward the point where the Mighty Blapp meets the Dark Sea of Darkness at Fingap Falls.
